Episode 11: The Battle of Nekt: Predator
Okay, yes, half of this is recap from Episode 11 - Part 1. You can skip it if you want.
I learned a lot editing wise from this comic, so I'm very pleased with it. The comic itself is weak at some points, there is one really wierd time shift, and the effects are spotty, but I learned a lot, and while there are a few wierd points I like the story of this one a lot! I love the Dark Jedi! I can't wait to use him again in later story arcs!
Okay, here we go!
Recap:
Versilles came to Nekt to help Lofsurra and his Padawan Boom, along with their Clone Commander Cell, evac the planet. When they were finished evacing, they were supposed to be lifted off the planet themselves, but instead were stopped by a Dark Jedi.
Season 1
Episode 11
The Battle of Nekt: Predator
Okay Jinj and Sials, time to rip it to shreads, while the rest of CABG doesn't comment!
Enjoy!

Anyways, I still think the recap was unnessecary, but moving on, it was good. The sky was edited in nicely, though I still question why your Dark Jedi told them to run, after he nearly killed the whole Jedi cadre. And in the last frame, you could've positioned your figures a bit more sprawled out, instead of having your Wookiee's hand sticking out and the others just lying upside down with their hands at their sides. Smoke SFX could've gone there as well, but I digress, it was pretty good.

Thanks Alfi! You always leave at the very least helpful comments, glad to know that you enjoyed this one!
Re: Episode 11: The Battle of Nekt: Predator
Not bad, though I agree with Alf, repeating a bit of the first part was pointless. The sky was nicely GIMP'ed, and so was that little bit of blood on the clones face. But how much was 'a long way down'?
And why's it a dark jedi, not sith?

Re: Episode 11: The Battle of Nekt: Predator
Um... becuase there can only be 2 sith at once, but a ton of Dark Jedi. One of you told me that once, and I'm using it!
Re: Episode 11: The Battle of Nekt: Predator
I enjoyed this one most of all, especially the Dark Jedi just playing around them, your also becoming a better GIMPer and an overall better MOCer.
I once said to you, you should put random things in that fit in with the scenery (if city, street lights, buildings, etc...) and you are getting better at that too.

I want more readers or my head will go BOOM.
Yeah, that's right. That's how awesome my explosions are. They're space sized.

Oh, there is a new comic! I missed it, thinking this was the old one(and yes, not reading your illustrious commentary ). *reads*
Well, it seems very rushed in one part, where Versilles suddenly finds himself next to his clones again, and how Boom gets back to the clones, let alone gets the furball back.

Re: Episode 11: The Battle of Nekt: Predator
Yeah, that was the strange bump I was talking about! That's one of the reason I broke up the comic at first...
Re: Episode 11: The Battle of Nekt: Predator
It all seems very... stiff. The GIMP is fine, the plot is fine, but I'm finding both the dialog and the running about... faked. If a mortal enemy of the Jedi Order encountered one of their ilk, I think he'd off him prior to the Jedi (no matter how inferior a fighter he is) finding a way to beat him. And the cliff aspect of the plot seems as though it's right out of a Roadrunner and Coyote cartoon .
Other than that starchiness of the comic, it's fine.

So much fire! Especially in the first part.
But the comic was pretty nice, I like the Dark Jedi. He's pretty cool.

I'm not sure if I understand the middle part of the post. The Jedi simply can't handle the Dark Jedi right now, so they are running and trying to surive. The cliff was simply a way out. They couldn't stop him, he couldn't stop them, so the easiest way for them to put distance between themselves and him was downing the cliff, and hoping for the best.
Re: Episode 11: The Battle of Nekt: Predator
Though I don't get how 3 or 4 Jedi and a bunch of Clone Troopers can't defeat a Dark Jedi. He's not a Grievous...
