541st Vendetta #17: Dancing in the Rain

This comic was all about me seeing how far I could take GIMP to, before I felt guilty about the excess thereof. Found my upper-limit for any and all comic frame editing . It's nice and shiny, but the story's unsubstantial (shooty-shooty whiz-bangery to launch air raids on Cuipernam, Hanri's night out is ruined by food collection and power outages), and a good deal of the dialog seems forced to me.

However the case may be, it's my longest one yet at thirty panes . I never intended for it to be that long... but it ended up like that regardless of my intentions .

The rain is very nice!


Your fire though...doesn't match that well with LEGO as all your other effects...

EDIT: But yea...no effects do match with LEGOs...some are just a little more off than others.

Ah, but that would make it the perfect program. And you all know how people these days love perfection so much, they just can't achieve it.

Also, on the comic itself, I love the inside of the cafe, especially the snippy Equinox soldier outside. 'And this caf...' That and what follows is probably the best line in the comic.

That was epic. The fire is awsome. The rain is awsome. The Story is awsome. The Equinox are awsome. By now Shoudn't you've replaced the droid arms?

I still can't wait until the B.A.N.T.H.A. gets in these. Still the best GIMPer there is (the rain). I also enjoyed that part with the Republic air attack. Genius, absolutely genius.

And the one scene with the soldier threatening the Cook reminded me ALOT of Band of Brothers.

As for the comic, epic win as usual. Does anything else really need to be said? Yes, actually. I bet if those droids with the food get hit, the Equinox will have a fun time explaining to the people that the Republic just bombed their food...

I won't particularly use that scenario, and I won't particularly use it now... but it makes for a great morality tale .
