541st Vendetta #13: Down There
Tried a variety of new techniques in GIMP - some worked out, some didn't. Overall, I think she's a solid comic with only a few gimped GIMPs, and one text bubble error .

He's not Merc Chick's Pa.
He's not Turaki.
He's not Palpatine.
Or Tarkin.
He's Rosetta Six .

Bravo!
This is yet another awesome comic. I loved that droid, and the battle.
Yet another healthy dose of Sial awesomeness.

Ah... noobs these days.
Anyways, great GIMPing, nice plot (I love Turaki's 'family droid'), though I just wish you'd pull out another full scale battle.

This is a full scale battle . Seps attacking, 541st defending .

By the way, what is that stick the clone had? Vibrostaff?

Yep. Skirmisher Infantry units have a rank sash and a vibrostaff, while Armored Elite have their rank sash, two grenades of LDA, and a vibrospear .
Re: 541st Vendetta #13: Down There
Wow, excellent stuff Sial, great GIMPING and great story as usual.

Maybe you could tweak them a bit and update your legion page *Hint hint*.

I can't really find anything bad to say about it.
Tis was great, 'nuff said!

Excellent story and I really like the Gimp work. Only frame I found to be a little awkward was the robot helping the woman climb up.

Wait a minute, I thought Turaki said that Ied would make better use of his sword at the command center, not the front lines? Did the Sep assault turn the command center into the front lines?

"You'll put this to better use than I at the command center."
There was no comma. "I" is at the command center .
Re: 541st Vendetta #13: Down There
Ohh, the first time I read it I thought they both were at the command center.
Re: 541st Vendetta #13: Down There
Naaah. I need to go all Trek and put at least one high-ranking officer in the field .
Re: 541st Vendetta #13: Down There
...I can't stand to read your commander's lines. It's really annoying. I can't read an entire sentence without reading it a few times!

Join the club. Zeph, Jinja, everyone who's read my comics always say something about Ied's "accent" .
Makes you read it over, though !

I agree, I bit my tongue when I tried to say the lines!Sialboats wrote:*snicker*

Back on topic, it's a decent comic. The cliff is nicely built. But I find the 13th pic somewhat disturbing.

Huh, I can read that guy's lines easily. Maybe a side effect of 4 years of going to school along side wannabe thugs. Gotta learn to interpret different slang fast. Nice comic as always, Sial.

I actually have never complained about the accent, except maybe the first few, which were unbearable. Accents are fine, I can understand Ied fine.
You did a very good job. I really like your droid creation, K-2. He's very cool. The GIMPing is of course awesome, though if each comic would further the story just a little more, that would be good.
I know that you need a few blew blam comics, to appease the littlun's, but if they could tell more, further the story, that is needed. You basically wasted a whole comic on a battle that... didn't matter? The CIS attacked, and lost. There was no change in the cituation. i know this happens in real war, but hey! This isn't a real war! Make each battle count.
Just my two credits.
Re: 541st Vendetta #13: Down There
Having to read it twice is not a good thing - it means something's gone wrong somewhere. Why not just write his lines normally and tell us what the real-world equivalent of his accent is (my money's on Scottish)? It would let people hear the accent in their own head without having to read your very, very rough approximation of it. Although, seeing as it's irrelevant to the plot and doesn't seem to add anything at all to the comic, I'd prefer to see it gone entirely. I mean, it's become a cliché for a clone to be 'overcooked' just so they can be all individual - they're clones, that's not the point!Sialboats wrote:*snicker*

Anyway, this comic was alright. Better than the bad ones, but it didn't really advance the plot much. Get Merc Chick to do some more in future, she seems more interesting than the rest of this Equinox bunch put together. I do like that crazy droid, though - might stick around just for that.
