Re: Post YOUR Custom Decal Images
Wow I haven't gotten that many comments on a single decal before. Thanks.
Re: Post YOUR Custom Decal Images
One more again:
That`s what I call a really good decal. I haven't seen any clones of this legion before (does it exist?)
but I really like it.
Especially the signs on the shoulders and the legs are great.

Re: Post YOUR Custom Decal Images
Nice decal, Clone killers.
Now, I have decided to start making decals.
Here is my first.
It is my 591st legion commander. I like it, especially because it was made on paint.
C&C welcome.
Credit to CG for the template.

Re: Post YOUR Custom Decal Images
Looks cool, but some area are kind of pixelish. Download GIMP and try and smoothen it out, it's what I do.
Re: Post YOUR Custom Decal Images
It does not bother me, I'm not a expert, but thanks for the suggestion.
And I now have another decal.
591st Gunner. Base made by CG. C&C welcome.

Re: Post YOUR Custom Decal Images
It's looks pretty cool, but I'm not so sure about that helmet decal. Anyways, if you keep at it you'll be pretty good at making decals.

I like those, especially for paint. The gunner helmet is not all that good though, but everything else is good.

It should. The concepts are good, but they suffer from a lack of vectorization. If they looked seamless I'm sure they would work very well.

Ya, I just did that to do that.Tital Wave wrote:I like those, especially for paint. The gunner helmet is not all that good though, but everything else is good.

Isn't that the point of everything?Darth Dan wrote:Ya, I just did that to do that.Tital Wave wrote:I like those, especially for paint. The gunner helmet is not all that good though, but everything else is good.
If you do somthing for anything besides getting it done, it'll never happen.

Here are Jango Fett's decals.
I am not sure who made the original design, so credit to the person that made the design.

First of all, capitalize the H and add a period, second of all the picture is not there.

I haven't posted a decal in a while so I decided to make one. I introduce to you, Clone Trooper Draa.

I like that Draa, good job, isn't the green a bit light though?

Re: Post YOUR Custom Decal Images
Green is wierd, it prints twice as dark as it looks for some reason... I have the same problem on most of my green decals.The_Customizer wrote:I like theta Draa, good job, isn't the green a bit light though?

Re: Post YOUR Custom Decal Images
If you ever have space on a decal sheet when you are printing What I do with my illustrator file/template is draw some stripes of each color in various hues.
This way in the future I will know how certain colors will print out. So I have 5 swatches of green, blue yellow, red and so on in one color where I can refer back to when making new decals. This way you aren't guessing and have a better idea what to expect at the end.

But that would be too smart and efficient, I can't do that! Nobody would recognize me!
The MCN color chart also works.

That's a good idea, I haven't ever thought of that.

Wow - that's a great idea!
I'm surprised no-one's mentioned it before now, it would definitely save a lot of time for loads of people.
