Mission 1.3
Our objective was simple - set up a few Thermal Detonation packs around one simple pillar of the bridge. That's it. Easy. However, in the reality of war, nothing ever goes as planned.
They knew we were coming. Seconds after we arrived, my men were caught off guard and were immediately slaughtered by a platoon of nine SBD's. I lost three men, with the other two wounded. And to make matters worse, the Detpacks were still vulnerable. If one of them was hit, we'd all be incinerated. The objective would still be completed, but I had no taste for dying on my second Planetary Rotation.
Our next move was reckless, but necessary. I ordered my remaining troops to retreat to the Southern gates, and we would detonate the bombs by remote. As soon as we left cover, another man of my squad was gunned down. I lost many brave men that day, but Salis D'aal will now live to breathe another day.
Built this for the last part of "Liberating Bakura" in the 457th Corps.
Comments and criticism are appreciated!

Re: Mission 1.3
I like the shooting effect and the stuff on the ground but maybe there could be more things on the platform.
Re: Mission 1.3
Its a nice set up. I like the figure placement. The platform, however, seems a bit awkward; I'm not saying to remove it. Maybe try making it bigger to make it not so in-the-middle-of-nowhere-feeling.

Re: Mission 1.3
The design for the pillar is really nice. However, I agree with TD, you need something more happening on the bridge itself, maybe more detail. Otherwise, I think this is a quite a nice MOC.

The pillar was the main focus of the diorama, not the bridge. But I do agree with you, it is a bit small. Thanks for your thoughts, though.

This is a nice little MOC. It just seems a bit small. I do like some of the detail on the bridge.

Re: Mission 1.3
I like the backstory, but you should really make the top platform bigger, it looks a bit too small compared with the rest of the MOC. Otherwise, great job!

I'm liking the blaster effects and the thing on the helmet. BTW is that a fire piece modded?
Re: Mission 1.3
Neat little midnette. Your troopers are interesting, liking the little backpack on the one! Also the bridge is very well built, and the angle of the tiles on the support is a nice effect used to catch the eye.

This is small, but rather interesting. Love the effect of the blaster bolt on the clone's helmet. The bridge seems to do be the only fault here though. It does not extend all the way across the plate, so it may seem to look like a regular platform. But other then that this is great. Loving the story line too.

The guidelines of the group say 16x16, no smaller, no bigger, so I couldn't make it any larger.

No, it's official. I believe I got it in this set.

Re: Mission 1.3
I love how you used the trans green sea weed as something like ivy on a wall. Maybe you should take out some droids from the bridge, or make some of them shooting down at the clones.
Other than that, great storyline overall.

Yeah, it's a Flickr group where you get an objective each week and can build a 16x16 diorama which relates to your given objective.
Here's a link.

This MOC is pretty cool, but I agree with everyone else the bridge is lackluste....
How do I send an application?Justin Pyne wrote:why wrote:Oh, so I see. is this something for Flickr? I was searching through all the pages of the sci fi lego group, and found many of these missions.

How do I send an application?
First you have to go to the Flickr Group and hit "Join this group." Include a reason or two why you want to join, and it will let the Admin know you want to join and then they can decide whether or not to let you join.

Mebbe.
Yeah, it's bent. The new droid heads are outrageously flexible.
