[SW] Scouting On Raxus Prime
I decided to revisit Raxus Prime. My old Raxus Prime MOC was big and a little messy and not as detailed. So, I made a smaller 16x16 vig now. So enjoy.
See more pictures here please.
C&C always wanted.

I didn't see this, sorry.
Now that I have....
Holy greebletits! That is perhaps the most greebled 16x16 I've seen ever, And I've seen a few greebles in my day.

I like that backpack on the trooper! And the greebles are really nice! Something that has started to bug me even in my own stuff though and I notice on this is how close alot figures are in firefights...hmm

Well when you only have 16X16 studs to work with, your choices are limited.

Re: [SW] Scouting On Raxus Prime
Honestly, just because you put a bunch of detailed parts on a 16x16 vignette and call it Raxus Prime doesn't mean you should of. I mean, people are just putting random parts on plates and saying it's Raxus Prime, and they get tons of positive feedback. The human eye looks for patterns, and details should be used as little as possible. You should avoid making "Raxus Prime" models as much as possible, as in this case it's 3 figures on greebled plate, nothing more. The only Raxus Prime I've seen and liked, was Knights as it wasn't all junk, and included a crashed ship which gave it a realistic junkyard feel rather than random items on a plate. I realize you probably have a higher abundance of these kinds of parts, but use details in small areas. It's more realistic.

Agreed, while I do like the greebles, not really looking like Raxus Prime, Maybe have some acid or some dirt in random places, and maybe even part of a speeder "crashed" in the rubble.

Why did this get all popular all of a sudden?

No need to ask, just smile and nod. Although I will say, Rabid is right. There needs to be some direction in your vig. Now that you've got the greebles down, just get the landscape flowing. It's not all scrapyard, you know.train 01 wrote:Why did this get all popular all of a sudden?

Yeah I get what he is saying but I don't have much trans-green and I couldn't find the initiative to build a big enough MOC to include a crashed ship. I may just redo this MOC since I still have it and add some stuff to it. Maybe that would satisfy people's problems.
