Raptor 34Series SpeedWalker Hybrid -INSTRUCTIONS UP PAGE 3-
This is a speeder/walker that I built for my army over on mocpages (The RRA) which takes place shortly after the fall of Republic. Basically they're clones trying to restore the republic and destroy the empire- so don't get mad when you see a shadow trooper killing stormies. Anyways, here's one of our RRA Recon Troopers on a Raptor 34 Series SpeedWalker Hybrid. General Grievous' speederbike influenced me a little...
The rigid 'spikes' along the front and back of the SpeedWalker allow it to cut through air... as well as enemies if needed.
Frontshot
Sideshot
Classical Legorevo Birdseye Shot
Backshot- Look at those engines
They rotate allowing the SpeedWalker to make tighter turns/ better acceleration
Front Intake (I'll explain further down) You can also get a glimpse of the side blasters and intake vents
Here's another shot of the side intake/engines
The weaponry- Ontop is a light blaster canon, and bellow is the behemouth ion canon.
Unfortunately, the light blaster canon holds secret technology so we couldn't show it being fired today. We could however show you the ion canons being fired. Purple? "Because we're royalty," Remarks Commander Calamitous of the RRA.
The ion canons can be rotated up to fire above the frontal repulsor wings.
As seen in figure 1 above, they will not hit the repulsor wings or the front intake engine.
If you wanna do a cool barrel roll and blast an enemy try leaving one canon up and the other down like so.
'Nother view.
Here's the SpeedWalker without a trooper on it. "Ladies love the ridges."
Commander Calamitous this is not a press conference now. Please keep your comments to yourself.
"Oh, right."
Our seating is specially designed for comfort for hours or even days of reconnassiance. It also has a built in warmer/cooler depending on what planet you may be stationed at.
And here's the underbelly of the- "Hey you said this was a walker to right? Come on let's see it!"
Alright, a close up of the fold-out legs.
Deploy!
The four legs located on the bottom of the walker have claws which allow the driver to scale cliffs, trees, buildings, etc.
The main intake had to be large because it is also the front fusion-drive which powers the walker.
The legs are also good for grabbing enemy units and smashing them into the ground, clawing them about, flinging them, or stomping them during an encounter. (Note: This is why it was given the name Raptor, and partly due to its elongated spikiness)
If you can't shoot em down, why not just annoy them?
Climb up the side of enemy vessels to confuse and annoy them. (The Raptor is especially good at this because most enemies do not think it can climb until it's too late, and also because scratchy noises coming from atop your vehicle will eventually annoy you out.)
When they come outside to investigate...
You may do as pleased. Just another win for the day, thanks to engineering and technological advancements to speeders.
A glory shot.

Very nice! But the front part seems to big though. It just isn't as smooth as the rest.

I like the speeder/ walker overall, but the thing I like most? The purple rods. Did I mention that purple is totally awesome?

Agreed Axel, best color ever. I love the speeder, simply awesome build. The back part with the spikes are my favorite, the slant of them, and the look, are just awesome.
Re: Raptor 34Series SpeedWalker Hybrid -INSTRUCTIONS UP PAGE 3-
Wow that was a lot of info for a simply sick speeder! I love the fact that there are several builders here that amaze me. It's a little bulky but it works. great job.

1 more thing: could you just post 1 picture in the future? This takes ages to load.

It didn't take that long... though this was a bit much. Maybe give us like one overview pic, and then a few nice shots of the cool pieces, and then a link to Mocpages.
Re: Raptor 34Series SpeedWalker Hybrid -INSTRUCTIONS UP PAGE 3-
Wow! I had never thought of that! I like the killing stormies part!

Re: Raptor 34Series SpeedWalker Hybrid -INSTRUCTIONS UP PAGE 3-
Thanks again for all the comments! I'll try toning down on the pics for my next mocs... I just love posting them all. I guess I'm a little pic-posting happy The front isn't the best design. I think that the bottom sloped brick makes the front appear to be too large. But for a speeder of this size, let alone a speed walker, I believe the design was somewhat necessary.

ABL, you've said positive things about this in 3 separate posts, is that really necessary? I mean usually you just say, This thing is good/cool/amazing/whatever else.

Haha maybe he just really likes it? They'll be available for $10 a head
Re: Raptor 34Series SpeedWalker Hybrid -INSTRUCTIONS UP PAGE 3-
The fact that you could have it long, and also retain it's slim and smooth shape is remarkable. Nice use of pieces, too. A really nice speeder, great work.
