Actually their not 'elite'. They just go on more challenging missions that involve hacking intel to the republics need.

Google wrote:elite: a group or class of persons enjoying superior intellectual or social or economic status

Sounds to me like they're elite, if they get the priviledge of more challenging missions.

Oh, there's nothing wrong with it, it's just there's already so many of those, we need fresh ideas. That's why everybody hates it. You need a new cache.

I think.

From what I'm reading, it's just that "special" and "over-the-top" legions have been done to death. A regular legion with a nice color scheme would probably be more interesting.

Yick, clashing blue and red. But I couldn't give a flying brick what their coloration is, as that's not the point of contention.

Now, I'll tell you what's wrong - you're another uninspired, insipid noob who's rolling out another trite legion of uberleet soldiers who get missions that would make Rambo curl up in the fetal position, who down a quart of nails and a bowl of broken glass for breakfast, and are so frakingly well-built they have muscles budding from their nipples.

Making a legion is like roasting a chicken. You can't eschew the chicken, dump a pound of garlic into the marinade and expect your lump of garlic to be any good. The chef has to start with a basic, un-marinated chicken breast, and add a little garlic, maybe a spot of lemon and pepper; or screw the garlic, lemon, and pepper; instead adding some basil and serving the finished chicken with bruchetta dolloped on top.

You're dumping ingredients into the marinade, and forgetting the chicken while you're at it! The legion has to have subtle characteristics. The 541st is mildly anti-Jedi with a flair for combined-arms, Blitzkreig-eqsue assaults. It's not uber, it's not elite, it's not spec-ops. It's NORMAL legion, who's developed a little over the years of the war and gained a some personality on the way. If you don't understand this principle, and can't make a legion without forgetting the LEGION (a group of many, many, front-line soldiers), I've got only one acronym for you:

What are your ideas for future/long term projects? - Page 31 2mw7ct10

Now if I don't get a quote somewhere on a Legion-Making tutorial thread... I'm going to be quite upset Razz .

Post Script: Your cannon's aweful. The back leg is trash, the cockpit is wonky, and there shouldn't be any blue on it, much less beige. The actual barrel is poorly shaped, and it's tip is comparable to that nipple I spoke of before. And get rid of that protrusion from the gunner's seat; hell - get the gunner a fraking GUNNER'S SEAT! That's a platform, not a fire control area!

And Heady... epic... epic... lulz. I'd love to see all that great feedback.

I highly doubt you'd be able to pull off a system-scale SPHA-T. The model would have to be of massive proportions (AT-TE's are dwarfed by it), and the only person on this site who has ever built on such a large scale, or even close to such a large scale, would be Rook.

That is going to be giant. You are going to need lots of bricks to build.

Oh. Shocked Maybe not really to scale, but pretty big all the same (bigger than an AT-TE).

These are the measurements on Wookieepedia: AT-TE-Length 13.2 meters. Width 5.32 meters. Height/depth 5.02 meters.

SPHA-T-Length 140.2 meters. Height/depth 20.6 meters.

So if you were to do it System-Scale, it would have to be as ten times as long as an AT-TE and as four times as high as an AT-TE. The width probably would be four or five times, just estimating from what I remember from a side-by side comparison of them I saw in a guide book.

System scale is anything that fits a minifig. Look at the Republic Cruiser or Venator. Those are system-scale. Wink
