Rook's Alphabet Wing Project

Well it's simply that. Even since I was told that I couldn't watch Star Wars on TV in the early 80's I've been drawn to the Epic Films like a moth to fire. One of my first thoughts, after OMG I want an X-Wing, was where are all the other Letters. Then I started to see some of them, but many were missing. Like many other builders I have thought, "Hey I'll just make them." Then I joined FBTB and saw Zemi.net! Wow could that guy build. Well I'm not as good as him but I still have the dream of seeing all the Alphabet Wings. So over the next few weeks, months and maybe even years, I'll be adding to this thread. Sometimes it might die off, other times you'll see several new posts at a time. Some will be abstract while others will look a flying letter from Sesame Street. Enjoy.

The K wing is my personal favorite. It's like a gunship; but a starfighter.

So all of those are made by you? (meaning the MOCs that aren't the actual sets and that I'm not particularly familiar with like those BEAUTIFUL B-Wings and the C-Wing, and the O-wings. )

The BTL-S8 K-Wing

This Special K has includes: 4 flick fire missles, 2 Fission Bombs, 1 forward 360x180 turret with 2 underover laser cannons, one dorsal twin 360x160 lase cannon turret, 2 rear laser cannons, 2 escape/drop pods, and crew of 6 persons and space for 8.

Woah Rook! That looks awesome! I love that turret design! Very good job.

Turret colring is wierd, but you put it one the ship as well, so that sorta pulls it together, and there's not easy fix I can think of, so that's okay! It's really nice other than that, if a bit bigger than I imagined it...

I love it! My only complaint is the head. I think it is too broad. If you look at pictures, its kinda thin. What with the Tri Fighter cockpit in the neck of the fighter?

Boo! That was going to be my pick for the Epic Star Wars Starship contest. Back to the drawing board!

Nonetheless, it's very well done as usual. I think the domes from the old LAAT dropship might look better than the tri-fighter ones though. the front landing gear looks a little lightweight for the size of the ship.

Yeah like I said in the WIP Area "there's lots of things that I don't like about it" , but it was fun.

Yep only had one of those extra. I don't chop up my display sets.

The H-Wing:

This Heavy Escort Class Fighter is heavily shielded. Designed to take heavy fire this ship is slow moving in its escort position. However energy can be diverted from its shields to its 8 sub-light engines. This allows the craft to be come extremely maneuverable at sub-light speeds. Ship includes: 8 sub-light engines, 1 ERJ-Hyper-drive (Emergency Random Jump – On board navigation computer maintains an emergency Hyper Jump button. However this option is only usable for about 96% of an average flight mission and where you jump to is well completely random.), 4 missiles, 2 harpoons, 1 ion pulse cannon, a long range communications array, small cargo hold, and seats 2. Hold on it's going to be a bump ride!

You mean Phase 1 as opposed to CW.
