Re: Rook's Alphabet Wing Project
Well I've begun toying with the U-Wing. Things have been slow. The Mrs. is car pooling with me now and we've possibly picked a new 4 legged family member. So my bricks have been getting cold. Also have hiking trips coming up the next 3 weekends and a car wash fund raiser so I have no idea how long this will take to get done. Having a kid would be better then getting this pet because after about age 5 or 6 I'll be able to build with the kid.

She's pregnant with a dog!
Re: Rook's Alphabet Wing Project
Dog or Cat?
Or is it a horse or cow?
If a male Dog, remember to get his balls cut off, it really helped on mine.

Do I really need to say anymore?!
Re: Rook's Alphabet Wing Project
The U-Wing is challenging me! I decided to build my traditional: Frame, Plate, & Tile method. However usually I build square frames and then build curved plates and then tile. This time I did mainly triangular frames and now I'm trying to plate everything. So it might turn out to be crap but its a new building style for me which is always good for any builder. Got explore new ideas or you'll never get better.

Title: Treyou
Crew: Bounty Huntress Kiva Tod with sisters’ Kachina and Kyllikki.
Description: U-Wing Modified with U-Wing Fighter with U-Wing Drone
Back Story: The Tod sisters are reddish-orange skinned Zabraks (same race as Darth Maul).
First cousins of Kass Tod. http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/starwars/images/2/2f/Kasstod.jpg
Another notable Zabrak is a tan skinned Zarbrak named Maris Brood, a young Jedi who survived Order 66.

These 3 sisters are force sensitive and weld light sabers and blasters. Their U-wing Starship includes: Modified Dorsal Array used for docking a U-Wing Fighter, a U-Wing drone, a Phoenix droid, a Sarsour droid, a winged century droid, a Skyracer speeder bike, 2 remote programmable ground rovers with interchangeable weapons platforms, and modified hover sled used for transporting humanoid bounties.
Ship: U-Wing
Minifigure (Center): Bounty Huntress Kiva Tod
Note: I had some camera errors today I’ll have some more pictures added to the gallery this afternoon.

Re: Rook's Alphabet Wing Project
I think the from the first camera angle it looks like an E-wing, very good nonetheless.
Re: Rook's Alphabet Wing Project
D-Wing is in the ship yards. I was inspired by some work that I saw on the M-Wing on Zet.com site. So with that as base idea I'm seeing how the CIS might counter to R-22 Spearhead, aka Grandpa to the A-Wing, with their own fighter, The D-Wing.
Re: Rook's Alphabet Wing Project
Apart from the lime, it's good. Cool cockpit too, that's a good thing about droids not having sticky-out arms.
Re: Rook's Alphabet Wing Project
That's a great concept, I love it.

*Speechless*
Rook, that's amazing! You couldn't have built it any better than that. Outstanding job!!!

Excellent build! I love all the small play feature you have in all your mocs. There seems to be no wasted space in the interiors.

Someone ought to send this by TBB, if they don't see it on FBTB(if you post it there of course).
It's just THAT good!

Re: Rook's Alphabet Wing Project
That's a very imposing MOC.
The self-imposed difficulty of staying within the constraints of the "alphabet project" emphasize your design accomplishment even more.
I totally dig all those extra features that you tend to integrate within your MOCs (the vehicles, the equipment stowed away within cleverly designed compartments).
Another worthy exemplar of your project.

OH man... Purdy.
I love all the angles and the use of the huge slopes and the gunship wing stickers.

I love it, the way you made the ship overlap, it's amazing.

Re: Rook's Alphabet Wing Project
Rook, when I think an "M" I think strong, bold lines. Something that will end up being bland and generally unexciting. But with this ship, you've smoothed out the lines, added flowing, rounded, and very futuristic elements to the shape. It really does look like a ship, and not just a floating letter. The compartments and other features are just icing on the cake.
It still doesn't beat that godly lander of yours, but it's a nice second .

Re: Rook's Alphabet Wing Project
The F-Wing has begun! After 2 failed frame designs, I finally found one that will work.
Re: Rook's Alphabet Wing Project
F-Wing is complete. I'm just finishing the 48x48 display base this weekend for the GBuild. I've given it Kashyyyk Trooper colors and its landing in a dry river bed. DEPLOY!
Re: Rook's Alphabet Wing Project
Seeing as after the F-Wing you'll basically only have the J-Wing left, you should make your own A-,B-,X- and Y-wing

I might but I'm going to switch over to building on a smaller scale to improve my building skills.
