Re: WWII-era M4 Sherman Tank
I've modified the M3 today, and before any of you say 'ZOMG u not listin to wut we said!' I changed it, so it's no longer a Sherman, it's a Tank I made up for WWII. The M3 Infantry Support tank.
First off, I added an interior, complete with controls and Pilot:
And then I placed the 4x4 plate differently, so now it's no longer loose, I'm moved the one of the chain further left, and I added an axe and shovel on the sides:
Enjoy! I hope my second race for the stolen treasure comes soon, cause then I can present Fox Company of the 101st Airborne to you.

I could make Easy, seeing as I'm watching Band of Brothers at the moment, but I don't think it'd look right if I make Easy with M3 IST's.
Re: WWII-era M4 Sherman Tank
What's wrong with it? You mean para's with tanks?

No, I mean a real Company with a made-up tank.
Ah, What the heck, I'll do Easy, and I've already got a plan for Winters and probably the medic.
Re: WWII-era M4 Sherman Tank
Well, Fox' a real company too.
Sweet, can't wait to see what you came up with!

-DP: Don't expect too much, it's probably just going to be the torso's with some special pants, the right faces, and the plain old lego rifles, the two vehicles and maybe some mortars...
-Faie: Mine should be on it's way at the moment.

Re: WWII-era M4 Sherman Tank
I'm not sure if you know about this or even have this in Europe but they is this great toy series that are models of real WWII things, I have a few and they give me inspiration for MOCs.

Re: WWII-era M4 Sherman Tank
-DP: I haven't made then yet, but I had some made before you made yours (using almost the same design), and then realized mine was way too tall. So, mine will probably look a lot like yours.
-Faie: We don't, but I get enough inspiration from Band of Brothers! Thanks though. What I'm looking for here is Sluban, apparently those sets have the helmets BA used as M1s.

Re: WWII-era M4 Sherman Tank
Yep, but you have to pay 7 EUR shipping or drive to the other side of the country.
I'd have 20 M1 helmets now if it wasn't like that.

Re: WWII-era M4 Sherman Tank
Honestly, I love the new modifications more than I do the new name . I think she looks (and sounds) a whole lot better! Bravo!
Re: WWII-era M4 Sherman Tank
OK, I've updated her yet again, but this time, I think I've finalized her. Here she is:
The M3 Infantry Support Tank
I've removed all old greys, changed the turrent, removed side greebles, added plates, removed the antenna, changed the piece on the M1919 Browning to black, and much more.
The Side:
Side shot. Greebles removed, plates added, old greys removed.
The Back:
Back shot. I removed the chain and antenna, and added a second light. All old greys removed, and more tiles added.
The Front:
Front shot. Added plates, a front light, changed two corner slopes into 2x2 Slopes.
The Turret:
Turret shot. Changed and shortened the barrel, all old greys removed, revised the hatch function and changed the bley neck bracket into a black one. Also added more tiles.
And Finally, the Interior:
Not much to say here really.
Well, to finish it off, I have to say I'm pleased with her, and I had to revise her a couple times to make her right. Comments and C&C is appreciated! Enjoy!

UBER-EPIC-BUMP
But, it's worth it, for those who don't check my Flickr.
My new Model:
All the Models I've made in the past:
And now, a special attachment I made for it today, a Dozer Blade (It's historically accurate!):
Enjoy! I think I've really improved it over time...

Re: WWII-era M4 Sherman Tank
It's perfect except for the treads. I'm not saying you should, but you could do two rows of small treads like BrickMania does. The dozer is quite good as well!
Re: WWII-era M4 Sherman Tank
Wow, it is the best stage so far.
With the Dover Blade, it reminds my of Wall-e.

Re: WWII-era M4 Sherman Tank
I like the tank's new version! The bulldozer attachment is also pretty good!
Re: WWII-era M4 Sherman Tank
I'd post something really long but I'm in a hurry so, long story short, it's awesome! The blade, the smoothness, and, what really stood out was the loss of backpacks again. Those just didn't fit right. Maybe change the wheels holding the treads, but by far, best ever.
Re: WWII-era M4 Sherman Tank
@Pizza: Thanks, but Brickmania found a model with wider treads, plus I'd need about 240 of those treads...
@Pyro: I believe you mean Dozer blade.
@CKill: Yeah, Backpacks looked odd, plus I need them for some figs...as for the wheels, I'm probably only changing the top front one, the rest are pretty much accurate.
