The tree needs leaves, and the ground a little more textureing, and if possible tiled ground would be nice. But otherwise, it looks good.

The building is quite nice, although it would be better if it was all one colour methinks.

Layer ground
Tile the floor
Add some crates possibly on the bottom floor
Add tree foliage
If you can incorporate SNOT in this/next MOC that really helps for the Guild Apps.

(I know some people already said some of these, but I know crates weren't, so I combined them all)

Well all I can say is - From this picture you need to try a vignette. Unless you can cover that entire thing with green plates, plants, trees, and other details/buildings you definitely need to get small and detailed first. A large boring MOC is no more impressive than a small good MOC. Vignettes are really neat and to prove you can add a lot into 1 tiny area look in one of my personal favorite Vig builder's stream.

There just isn't enough detail. And roads leading to grass? I like to say this. Make a detailed MOC withOUT figures then the fig spice it up. Wow this thing looks Hope this helps.

Start smaller, make the different colors on the ground represent things. Don't put white on your ground unless you plan on having your build in a snowy place. Tan, desert. Green/Brown, most every other terrain. Then don't place roads down like they are placed at the bottom of the picture. Lastly, more hills and pits are ALWAYS good. And don't be afraid to ask for advice!

Ground layering could be improved. Add some plates to layer the ground

The rocks are a nice technique, but they are really small and maybe you could add some more rocks around the vignette.

The tree is meh. Take those tree leaves off the ground and put it on the tree. also the 2 leaves sticking out of the tree by a single rod looks VERY unreal.

Removing the tree leaves off the ground will make it more open. Now fit as much plants as possible on that ground.

Trampled ground. Good. But I wouldn't do it unless your tree is perfect.

Thank you so much for the feedback. I just recently entered it into the CABGO and am hoping it will do well. I will definitely take in your advice for future builds.

Good builders take advice. I hope to see more! I suggest you make a MOC, get it reviewed here, upgrade it untill it's top notch, and put it in a guild app! Do that 3 times and bingo!

Thanks again! Honestly I thought the tree looked much cooler. But I guess that is more you are from a builder's standpoint and looking down.

Me looking down? No. Just because I'm a Guildy doesn't mean you don't have potential. That tree is a lot better than some I have seen. I personally struggle with trees too, but I see you have the parts and beefing it up with more leaves would make it so much better. Don't think that we look down on Non-Guildies here. We help them, not look down as a lower "class" of builders.

No, not so much as you looking down. But when you are building standing up, the tree looked much cooler from that angle. Smile

Okay, 2 things. 1 edit your posts. NEVER EVERDOUBLE POST.

Second, get rid of all the vehicles, get rid of 14 of those 32x32 plates, and start small.

Advice. There is really no details in this MOC, the walls are plates stood up on their side, get rid of them.

Okay, do what C.J. said. Start small, and we might get a proper build going. What you've got right now doesn't look like it even belongs in the SWU. I'd recommend not using those road plates for this sort of thing. Wink

Definiatly get rid of the road plates. I would have typed more last night but had to go.

Anyway, firstly do the stuff mentioned above, then get rid of the custom clones. You could have the best customs on their but a good build won't come from just customs. Also, my suggestion would be to ignore the figures until you have nothing else to build. Use 1x1 plates and 1x2 plates to build hillsif you have them. If not, save up for some. Use bricks for walls, include highlights, use cheese slopes wherever you see fit, Razz, and lastly don't be afraid to destroy what you've built.

Ok that sounds good and that's why I'm getting a bricklink order soon because I don't have a lot of the little pieces that I've noticed in your WIPs and such. do you think its a good idea to work on this frame here? scrap everything but the gate and work from there?
